A Handicap Accessible Van Dealer with an Outstanding Reputation

There are over one million people in the U.S. using a wheelchair to live fuller, more normal lives and 12 million more who can’t independently walk 2 city blocks. Yet, only 180,000 of them use some sort of adaptive vehicle to access the lifestyle most people take for granted. Why? Because until recently, disabled consumers looking for customized vehicle modifications and adaptive devices found only small mom-and-pop shops, many of which offered poor selection, long waits, poor service and overly inflated prices.

Now, many of these disappointed consumers are going to MobilityWorks because of the superior selection, quality and service offered by this rapidly growing network of handicap accessible van dealers. Led by owners Bill Koeblitz and Taylor Clark, the company seeks to usher in a new era of larger, well-managed companies that offer the selection, quality and service previously lacking in the industry. Says Koeblitz, “I believe disabled people dealing with this industry have put up with all kinds of stuff they shouldn’t have to put up with, from incompetence to unscrupulous business practices. It’s a business segment that hasn’t been well executed. We’re changing that.”

MobilityWorks features a wide selection of handicap accessible vans which include both mini and full-sized vans. Modeled after traditional auto dealerships, all MobilityWorks dealerships feature new handicap vans, used handicap vans, and used handicap conversion minivans. Each dealership has an onsite service department where all types of wheelchair vans are serviced.

MobilityWorks is one of only 30 companies nationally that has passed the rigorous independent inspection requirements of the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association and is one of three companies who have passed Ford Motor’s Quality Program of mobility adaptation.
