WisTech is Wisconsin's assistive technology program funded under
the AT Act of 1998,
as amended.
WisTech provides information on selecting, funding, installing
and using assistive technology.
Assistive technology (AT) is any product or
device that enables people with disabilities to improve their independence and
quality of life in the community, at home, at work, and at school.
AT items include commercially-made
equipment, custom-made devices or common products that have been modified to
serve a specific need.
WisTech is funded to provide:

Alternative Financing
State Leadership activities such
as training, technical assistance, public awareness, collaboration and coordination, and
data reporting and collection.
WisTech uses its three-year
State Plan for Assistive Technology (PDF, 115 KB) to
communicate its goals and plans to the citizens of Wisconsin and the federal
Rehabilitation Services Administration.
WisTech is administered by the
Office of Independence and Employment, a unit of the Department of Health and
Family Services, Division of Disability and Elder Services.
